In October 2005, DI International Business Development (DIBD) began offering the concept "Own Man In Russia" (OMIR) to the confederation's members.
The fundamental idea of the concept is to make Russia more accessible to companies who would otherwise have avoided this market, due to the barriers posed by bureaucracy, language and investment requirements.
Many Danish companies have positive experiences in dealing with Russia through agents or distributors. Some, in spite of the success, come across difficulties in gauging the full potential of the market.
